DORCHESTER — It was a packed house at Boston College High School when the announcement was made that the Cadigan Family Foundation will be donating $49 million to build a wellness facility at the all-male school on Morrissey Boulevard. The philanthropic foundation created in 2002 by Patrick Cadigan, the former CEO of Electronic Engineering Co. in California and a 1952 graduate of the Jesuit high school. HULL — More than 250 people braved the icy waters of Nantasket Beach in Hull to raise more than $100,000 for Special Olympics Massachusetts.
