Women for Whittier hold Holiday Tea

ROXBURY — The Women for Whittier held the Holiday Tea 2024 to benefit the Whittier Street Health Center at the Frederica M. Williams Building, 1290 Tremont St., in Roxbury. The theme of this year’s event is “Gender Equity and Women’s Empowerment’’ and we are honored to have Goldie Taylor, Senior Vice President, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, Dana–Farber Cancer Institute as our keynote speaker. Alongside Goldie Taylor, we will be recognizing the following women who have been outstanding champions for Whittier and its community with Women for Whittier awards:

  • Theresa Hopkins-Staten, Esq., President, Eversource Energy Foundation and Vice President, Corporate Citizenship and Equity, Eversource Energy
  • Elaine Ullian, Former President and CEO, Boston Medical Center
  • Alicia Wedderburn, Board Chair, Whittier Street Health Center, District-Wide Science Instructional Coach, Boston Public Schools STEM Department, Founder and CEO, ScienceEd Consulting, LLC, Co-Founder and Principal Consultant, Creating AccessEd Consulting, LLC
  • Enna Jimenez, CEO, Enna Jimenez LLC and Chief Development Officer, ALPFA
  • Shirley Leung, Columnist and Associate Editor, Boston Globe

Gender equity is a human right, but our world faces persistent gaps in access to opportunities and decision-making power for women. With your support, Whittier can continue to provide for, and advocate on behalf of, the most marginalized women in our community.
