Mike’s 5K Road Race raises money to fight substance abuse

MILTON — Nearly 1,000 people participated in the “Mike’s 5K to Crush Substance Abuse – Run, Walk, Stroll!” on Saturday, October 19, 2019, in Milton. All the money raised goes towards prevention and treatment of substance abuse.

The 2019 event was dedicated to the memory of Chris Woodfall, who lost his battle against addiction.

The Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (MSAPC), which includes several hundred town residents, is committed to reducing youth substance abuse and later addiction, is looking for town-wide participation – including students and adults – in Mike’s 5K to Crush Substance Abuse.

The 2019 5K (3 mile) Walk/Run took place on the streets of Milton and featured an array of participants from walkers with dogs to more serious runners.
