CAMBRIDGE — The Cambridge Police Department held a ceremony recently to mark the promotion of Pauline Wells to Deputy Superintendent. Wells, whose daughter Molly assisted in the promotion ceremony, also is a singer, who donates her time to help numerous causes, including the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry in Dorchester. SOUTH WEYMOUTH — Hundreds of uniformed State Police Troopers and police officers from other departments turned out for the funeral Mass that was said at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday for Massachusetts State Police Trooper Patrick E. Ahl, who died last week after suffering a medical emergency.
