My friend William F. Smith, III, who died suddenly on July 9, 2017 while he was in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Billy, as he was called, was a member of the Boston Police Department’s Firearms Unit. It had been 31 years since the last nurses’ strike and when Tufts Medical Center refused to let 1,200 members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association return to work on Monday, I stopped by to take a few photos. I’m posting some of my photos from time at the demonstrations here. — Bill
