COPLEY SQUARE — 1,000 guests attended the Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s 14th annual Winter Ball, which was held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel. DORCHESTER — The Irish Pastoral Center in Dorchester hosted a candlelight vigil to honor the life of Ashling Murphy, a 23-year-old woman who was murdered in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland. The vigil was held in the parking area behind Greenhills Bakery in Adams Corner on Sunday, January 16, 2022, because Ashling’s sister Amy worked at the bakery and the sisters are well known in the neighborhood. DORCHESTER — Special Olympics Massachusetts President and CEO Mary Beth McMahon hosted a holiday party at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum to thank the Marlborough-based nonprofit’s sponsors and volunteers.
