BOSTON — 500 guests attended Crossroads annual “Urban Campfire,” which raised $500,000. The gathering was held on May 9, 2019 at the Revere Hotel.
The Crossroads Urban Campfire is the nonprofit’s signature event that raises funds to support the more than 1,000 under-resourced Massachusetts youth Crossroads serves annually. A cocktail party featuring a short speaking program, the Urban Campfire allows for the entire Crossroads Family — including board members, major donors, alumni, and current Crossroads participants — to spend an evening together celebrating their individual successes and the success of Crossroads as a whole.
Since the inaugural Urban Campfire in 2009, Crossroads has raised more than $3 million through this event, all of which goes directly into supporting and working with the communities’ high-potential, under-resourced youth. The Urban Campfire makes it possible for Crossroads to impact the lives of youth who need the group’s community of optimism, support, and accountability, allowing them to develop into economically independent citizens, socially responsible leaders, and emotionally connected adults.
