Union Point hosts Moving Wall through July 29

WEYMOUTH — The Wall That Heals is at the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station through July 29 as part of its nationwide tour. Weymouth’s Union Point is serving as one of the first hosts of a new, larger replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and mobile education center this summer.

The Wall That Heals is 375 feet long and 7½ feet high at its tallest point. This new replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., is three-quarter scale of the original. The memorial honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War, and it bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
