DORCHESTER — The annual St. Patrick’s Day weekend breakfast that is held to raise money for the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 10 a.m. in the parish hall of the old St. Margaret’s Church (St. Mother Teresa Parish) in Dorchester. Co. Sligo Association holds 13th annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner

DORCHESTER — More than 400 guests attended the County Sligo Association of Boston’s 13th annual St. Patrick’s Day banquet, which was held at Florian Hall in Dorchester. The Association honored Christine McCarrick and offered a full program, including music by Erin’s Melody with Margaret Dalton and the master of ceremonies was Sligo’s own Jim Brett of Dorchester, with special entertainment by Brady Academy of Irish Dance from Quincy. Special Olympics Massachusetts raises $200K as 300 people take a Polar Plunge

HULL — 300 people signed up for the Nantasket Polar Plunge that raised $200,000 to support Special Olympics Massachusetts. The (very) cold weather did not dampen the spirit of the day as awards were given for those who came out in full regalia and there was music keeping things lively on the beach. South Shore Art Center holds Art Off the Wall event

COHASSET — 250 guests attended the South Shore Art Center’s Art Off the Wall, which featured 100 collectors and 100 pieces of art. The fundraiser’s co-chairs were Andrea Hiller and Tracey Merrill, SSAC Executive Director Patrice Maye, and emcee/photographer Stephen Sheffield.
