QUINCY — More than 250 guests gathered at the “Gala”ween celebration to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester, which was held last weekened at the Pavilion Tent at Granite Links Golf Club. NORWELL — The Acadmey of The Company Theatre recently presented a production of “Puffs,” a comic retelling of the Harry Potter book series by J. K. Rowling, but from the perspective of the “Puffs.” (The play, which ran Off-Broadway in 2015, is not officially sactioned by Rowling, her publishers or the filmmakers.) QUINCY — Some 200 guests gathered the other night at Alba Restaurant in Quincy to celebrate the release of Quincy native Joe Keohane’s book, “The Power of Strangers: The Benefits of Connecting in a Suspicious World.” Keohane, a veteran journalist who now lives in New York, has been a writer and editor for several years.
