COHASSET — 150 guests attended the summer event to support Stepping Stones for Stella that was held at the Cohasset home of John and Eilene Grayken. The couple are supporters of the nonprofit that was founded in Massachusetts by the Puzzo family to provide buggies free of charge to “children with disabilities to ensure they and their families experience the joy and freedom of the great outdoors to its fullest.” The original buggy was made by Jack Banda for his granddaughter Stella so that she could go out on the beach with her family. Stella’s parents have been raising money ever since and, with the help of the Graykens and others. More than 475 buggies have been provided to children, all free to the families.
