SOUTH BOSTON (by way of Kentucky) — Bill, Carol and the whole Bill Brett Boston team want to wish Sister Evelyn a happy and blessed 105th birthday.
This photo is from Bill’s fifth book “Boston: Irish,” which came out in 2014. Bill took this photo after spotting Sister Evelyn walking in South Boston. They talked and she told him about how she made her outfit. When they met, she was still living in South Boston and a active member of the community, where she taught for generations.
