SOUTH BOSTON — The city paused recently to mark the 42nd anniversary of the South Boston Vietnam Memorial in a ceremony that included special guest US Marine Corp Lt. General Christopher Mahoney, a Weymouth native and Holy Cross graduate. SOUTH BOSTON — 300 people signed up for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation’s Run/Walk, which was held at DCR Castle Island. Many brain aneurysm survivors participated to support the Foundation’s work and were joined by family members and those walking and running in memory of someone lost to this disease which affects 1 in every 50 people in the US. SOUTH BOSTON — More than 200 guests attended the Matt Brown Foundation fundraiser, which was held at the Castle Island Brewery in South Boston. Matt started the foundation after he suffered a spinal cord injury when he was 15 years old while playing in a hockey game for Norwood against Weymouth. Matt later attended Stonehill College. SEAPORT — 300 guests attended the Edgerley Family South Boston Boys & Girls Club’s 47th annual St. Patrick’s Day luncheon, which was held at the Omni Boston Hotel.
