Friends, community rally to support Brian Wallace

SOUTH BOSTON — Brian Wallace, the lifelong resident of South Boston and one of the city neighborhood’s greatest champions, has helped raise thousands of dollars and offered his support of South Boston people and causes over the years. And on April 18, there was supposed to be a gathering to support Brian at a “time” for him.

Because of health and safety concerns regarding Covid-19, “A Night for Brian Wallace” has been cancelled. Those organizing the event have now set up a GoFundMe campaign to help our Brian as he faces some ongoing life and health challenges.

“Brian Wallace is a husband, father, writer, athlete, former State Representative, son of South Boston, and a best friend to all! He is someone that has always been there for everybody. Brian and his family need our help as he battles a life-threatening illness, and it’s our turn to say thank you!” the organizers wrote on GoFundMe.
