Brian Wallace, Ray Flynn talk about book “From Broken Glass” at South Boston library

SOUTH BOSTON — A full house, that included former Senate President William Bulger and South Boston resident Mary Joyce, attended a talk by Brian Wallace, Glenn Frank and former Mayor Ray Flynn about the book, “From Broken Glass.” All three contributed to the book by Steve Ross with his son, Mike, a former Boston City Councilor.

The memoir by Steve Ross, a Holocaust survivor, who worked for nearly 40 years as a psychologist in the Boston city schools, working with countless young people, many in South Boston, covers his time in 10 concentration camps during World War II. At the end of his career, he spearheaded the creation of the New England Holocaust Memorial, a site millions of people including young students visit every year.
