DUXBURY — This week’s beautiful weather only added to the success of the Duxbury Council on Aging fundraiser that started with golf at the Duxbury Yacht Club and ended with a raw bar and a live auction at the Duxbury Senior Center. Duxbury’s own Jim Fagan helped the COA raise several thousand dollars in the live auction. The money raised by the nearly 200 guests in attendance will support the fuel assistance program for seniors this winter. Joanne Moore, executive director of the Duxbury Senior Center, said this is the 21st year that the COA has help raise funds for the town’s seniors. She added: “We are grateful for their support.”
