SOUTH BOSTON — 500 guests attended the 17th annual “Taste of South Boston” to benefit the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation. DORCHESTER — 300 guests attended the Paraclete Center in South Boston’s event at which former Boston mayor and U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican Ray Flynn, his wife, Cathy, and their children, who include City Councilor Ed Flynn, and grandchildren were honored. SOUTH BOSTON — Some 600 swimsuit wearing souls took the annual Polar Plunge into the water off of M Street Beach in South Boston for the annual L Street Brownies New Year’s Day polar swim.
