THEATER DISTRICT — More than 1,000 people packed the Royale Boston for Coreyfest 2017 to support the Corey C. Griffin Charitable Foundation‘s efforts to fund a number of initiatives in Boston. Thomas J. Hudner, 93, (center in accompanying photo) a war hero and former Veterans’ Affairs Commissioner, died on Nov. 13, 2017, the Boston Globe reported today. Bill Brett photographed Mr. Hudner with fellow Medal of Honor recipient Thomas G. SOUTH BOSTON — More than $350,000 was raised at the Lovin’ Spoonfuls Ultimate Tailgate 2017, which was held at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal. The money raised will be used to allow for the “rescue and distribution of healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded.” According to its mission statement, Lovin’ Spoonfuls works “to efficiently deliver this food directly to the community organizations and resources where it can have the greatest impact.” At the…
