SOUTH BOSTON — Hundreds attended the No Kid Hungry’s Taste of the Nation to fund programs to childhood hunger. The June 5th event featured the food of dozens of Boston’s best chefs. Also at the sold-out event at the Flynn Cruiseport in South Boston were 100 family and friends of a recently married who used the fundraiser as their wedding reception. All photos by Bill Brett
BOSTON — More than 300 guests mingled with thirty of Boston’s favorite authors, including William Martin, Ben Mezrich and our own Bill Brett, at Raising a Reader’s annual dinner that raised more than $220,000 for the non-profit’s literacy programs. FOXBOROUGH — 650 guests attended the 2018 Ron Burton Humanitarian Award Dinner, which raised $1.6 million for the Ron Burton Training Village. More than 350 guests attended the St. John Paul II Catholic Academy’s Jack and Eileen Connors Award reception that was held at the Boston College Club in Boston on May 16, 2018. The reception raised $350,000. The recipients of this year’s award are Kathleen and Kevin Driscoll.
