BOSTON — Some 200 guests attended the Esplanade Friends Council’s 7th annual Esplanade Summer Dock Party that was held on July 20, 2017 on the Docks at Community Boating Inc. The evening’s host was Kennedy Elsey from Mix 104.1FM’s “Karson & Kennedy” show. Dear Friends: I just received word that Dick Dray, a familiar face on the local scene for decades, died this week. Dray, whose wife, Peggy, still works with the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel, worked with Dusty Rhodes at her company, Conventures. The funeral and burial were private. SOUTH BOSTON — More than 500 guests attended The Mary Binda Memorial Cruise held on July 6, 2017 to support summer programming for more than 300 young people at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s Edgerley Family South Boston Club. Binda, who died in 2009, was involved in many South Boston organizations, including serving on the board of the Boys and Girls Club. The cruise was held on board the Provincetown II.      …
