Thomas J. Hudner, 93, (center in accompanying photo) a war hero and former Veterans’ Affairs Commissioner, died on Nov. 13, 2017, the Boston Globe reported today. SOUTH BOSTON — More than $350,000 was raised at the Lovin’ Spoonfuls Ultimate Tailgate 2017, which was held at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal. BACK BAY — The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) held its annual “Into the Wild” gala at the Taj Boston on Nov. 1, 2017. The event, which celebrated Zimbabwe, included a special presentation at which the IFAW honored the Gifford family.
