Randolph — The Randolph High School gymnasium was dedicated in the memory Dennis “DJ” Simmonds, a Boston Police Department patrolman who suffered a serious concussive head injury caused by a homemade bomb while pursuing the Boston Marathon bombers in Watertown in 2013. BOSTON — Boston actor Kevin Chapman will be bringing some real-life authenticity to the Showtime pilot of the drama series “City on a Hill,” which has Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as executive directors, according to the industry website Deadline. COPLEY SQUARE — More than 300 guests attended 71st annual Mistletoe Ball, which was held on Nov. 25, 2017 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel in Boston. This festive annual tradition was started by a group of Boston area women in 1946 on the heels of World War II and during the Greek civil war. All photos are by Bill Brett.
