QUINCY — The Saint Rock Haiti Foundation held its annual fundraising event at the Granite Links Golf Club on March 1, 2018. The Milton-based non-profit supports programs in Saint Rock, Haiti, such as funding schools and education efforts, providing medical care, working to ensure access to clean water, and securing micro-loans. DEDHAM — The Dedham Police Department joined the non-profit Cops for Kids With Cancer at the Kings Dining and Entertainment at Legacy Place in Dedham for a fundraiser to help out families with children with cancer. SOUTH BOSTON — More than 700 guests attended the 3rd annual Friends of Donny Higgins Memorial Fund Winter Gala held at The Westin Boston Waterfront Grand Ballroom. HULL — 250 people took a polar plunge on Feb. 24, 2018 at Nantasket Beach in Hull to support the programs of Special Olympics. It was bit warmer than the sub-zero temperatures for the annual L Street Brownies faced on Jan. 1 in Boston. BEACON HILL — Bill was sorting through a stack of prints of photographs that he has from the 1990s. This shot was taken on the day that Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis and his wife, Kitty, walked out the State House (through the actual front door/gate on Beacon Street) for the last time.
