BOSTON — 1,400 hundred guests braved colder than normal weather on Sept. 9 for the annual Le Diner en Blanc on Boston’s City Hall Plaza. (Last year’s edition was on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.)
How it works: the location of the dinner is kept secret until just hours before the dinner happens, all attendees must register in advance, and they must wear white. For a list of those who organized this year’s dinner, check out the roster here.
Started more than 30 years ago in Paris, the dinners are now held in more than a dozen cities worldwide. The dinners are held in public spaces with a carefully choreographed arrival by the their table leaders. A full night of food and music is planned.
