SEAPORT DISTRICT — More than 1,800 guests attended the New England Council’s 2022 annual celebration on the evening of Monday, November 7, at the Omni Boston Hotel in the Seaport District.
Among the guests were many of the most notable business, academic, non-profit, and government leaders from all six New England States, gathered to honor the Council’s New Englanders of the Year: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts CEO Andrew Dreyfus; Boston Globe Media CEO Linda Henry; Liberty Mutual CEO David Long; and US Trade Representative Katherine Tai. Special guest presenters included Governor Charlie Baker; US Congressman Richie Neal; Boston Mayor Michelle Wu; former US Congressman Joe Kennedy III; and Boston Bruins legend Ray Bourque.
The Council also presented a Distinguished Service Award to Tuskegee Airman Enoch “Woody” Woodhouse, and a Lifetime Achievement Award to former Boston Bruin Willie O’Ree, the first black player in the NHL.
