SOUTH BOSTON — Several hundred guests attended the Gavin House Foundation’s spring Road to Recovery event, which was held on May 9, 2019 at the Innovation and Design Building in South Boston.

The Foundation supports the Gavin House, a nonprofit agency that provides comprehensive adult, youth and community substance abuse education, prevention and treatment programs. Established in South Boston in 1963, Gavin House now serves more than 5,000 individuals each year from Massachusetts and beyond.

Event attendees included Massachusetts First Lady Lauren Baker, former Massachusetts Attorney General Frank Bellotti and family, and chef Barbara Lynch.

The Gavin Foundation offers a continuum of care to individuals, support services to their families, and programs to increase community awareness and acceptance regarding addiction and recovery.
