CoreyFest raises $1.7 million to support children’s charities in Boston

BOSTON — 1,800 guests attended the 9th annual CoreyFest with a performance by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard at the House of Blues. The sold-out event raised $1.7 million to support the Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s “strategic investments to improve the lives and opportunities for youth. The Foundation’s focus on education, healthcare, and faith and character development is aimed at making a transformative impact on ‘Corey’s Kids’ at crucial times in their lives.”

Following Corey’s tragic passing at age 27 on August 16, 2014, the Griffin family and close friends founded the Corey C. Griffin Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Given his incredible passion for life and uncommon dedication to philanthropy, it was not difficult to map out the guiding principles of the foundation: improving the lives of primarily Boston-area children.
