ROXBURY — It was a packed house at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston’s Yawkey Club, 115 Warren Street, Roxbury, when James Orrigo mesmerized the young people gathered to hear him speak.
The talk, held on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, was sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation as part of the nonprofit’s efforts to support young people in the city of Boston.
Orrigo is a social entrepreneur and motivational entertainer who uses original music to entertain and personal stories to inspire. When he was in high school, Orrigo suffered from a severe brain injury. During his recovery, he discovered a passion for using music to help others, especially his mother battling terminal cancer.
