BACK BAY — The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) held its annual “Into the Wild” gala at the Taj Boston on Nov. 1, 2017. The event, which celebrated Zimbabwe, included a special presentation at which the IFAW honored the Gifford family. The gala raised money to “return six orphaned elephants to the wild and transform a former hunting ground into a wildlife sanctuary.” All photos are by Bill Brett.

SOUTH BOSTON — The New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) held its 15th annual Leave No One Behind Gala on Nov. 1 at the Seaport World Trade Center. HANOVER — More than 550 guests attended the South Shore Health System Foundation’s 15th annual Moonlight & Miracles Gala on Friday, October 20, 2017, at The U at Starland in Hanover, MA.
