QUINCY — More than 400 guests attended the Adam Presidential Center’s kickoff fundraising dinner that honored former Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and his wife, Lauren, for their distinguished service to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The event was held at Granite Links in Quincy. Opening remarks were by Quincy Mayor Tom Koch, with other speakers including General Joseph Dunford, USMC (retired). Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, US Representative Steve Lynch, and former Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey also attended.
The money raised will support the planned building of a museum, library and civic center in downtown Quincy to honor the service of the Adams family.
