BOSTON — 1,200 guests attended the Catholic Schools Foundation’s 29th annual Inner-City Scholarship Fund Dinner, one of Boston’s most exclusive galas. The April 4 event raised $3.75 million which will fund approximately 4,000 scholarships for students to attend some 54 Catholic schools in Greater Boston. The night brought together people from Boston’s business and philanthropic communities for an unforgettable evening featuring student beneficiaries of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund. The dinner’s co-chairman President & CEO Eversource Energy Jim Judge and Fund President Emeritus Peter Lynch recognized Dick Connolly, Jr., managing director, the Connolly Group at Morgan Stanley, as the Carolyn and Peter Lynch Honoree.
The evening included student speaker Julian Delgado-Figueroa, senior CSF Scholar Class of 2019 from Saint John’s Preparatory High School, and student performer, Amanda Mena, sophomore scholar (Class of 2021) from Saint Mary’s High School in Lynn. Amanda was a contestant on “America’s Got Talent” 2018 where she received the “golden buzzer” from Mel B.
The Inner-City Scholarship dinner was held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place hotel.
