SOUTH BOSTON — More than 700 guests attended the 3rd annual Friends of Donny Higgins Memorial Fund Winter Gala held at The Westin Boston Waterfront Grand Ballroom. SOUTH BOSTON — The 8th annual Boston Irish Honors recognized the Kennedy family of Dorchester (Bill, Annmarie and Nora), former Massachusetts Highway Commissioner Tom Tinlin of South Boston, and the Boston Globe’s Kevin Cullen before a packed house at the Seaport Hotel. DORCHESTER — More than 800 guests attended the inaugural Joseph “Dodo” Nee Foundation fundraiser, which was held on Oct. 13, 2017 in Florian Hall, Dorchester. Joseph “Dodo” Nee died on Sept. 6, 2016 and his family and friends started the foundation as a way to celebrate Nee’s life and carry on his commitment to the South Boston community that he loved.
