DUXBURY — More than 500 guest celebrated under a large tent on Duxbury Beach on the evening of Saturday, September 7, 2019, to support the Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc., and mark the centennial of a dozen or so Duxbury residents coming together to buy the beach so that it would be preserved for future generations. SOUTH BOSTON — More than 350 guests attended the Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s Summer Cocktail Party that was held on August 5, 2019 at Coppersmith. HINGHAM — More than 700 guests attended the 25th annual FoodFest benefit for Father Bill’s and MainSpring at the Hingham Shipyard. The event, held on July 30, 2019, featured dishes from South Shore restaurants and raised more than $350,000 to help fight homelessness in the area — including the construction of 10 houses in Randolph for homeless veterans.
