BOSTON — Mr. Dooley’s Boston Tavern hosted some of Boston’s best-loved Irish music acts to raise money for local charitable efforts, including a Dorchester food pantry. It is becoming an annual tradition for Dooley’s to host its “Olde Fashioned Christmas,” a day-long lineup of acts that included The McTaggerts, Devri, Boxty, and Colm O’Brien. DORCHESTER — 450 guests turned out at Florian Hall in Dorchester to help South Boston resident Robert Pacitti celebrate his 65th birthday. BOSTON — A sold-out Symphony Hall joined Red Sox skipper Alex Cora, former Sox player and announcer Jerry Remy and others for “A Company Christmas at Pops,” the annual holiday gala that celebrates the extraordinary partnership between the corporate community and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, through the BSO’s Education and Community Engagement programs throughout the year. SEAPORT — More than $1 million was raised by 2,500 guests who attended the 16th annual “Celebration for Kids” on Dec. 1, which featured food prepared by dozens of Boston’s best chefs, a colossal holiday shopping gallery, silent auction, a live auction, and dancing to the World Premier Band.
