HINGHAM — Jay and Jodi Tolman held their family’s 42nd annual fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at the Congregation Sha’aray Shalom in Hingham. The event started out as a local way to participate in the MDA’s annual Labor Day weekend televised telathon. The family has continued to do it since the MDA stopped their TV fundraiser. SCITUATE — 400 guests attended the 3rd annual Recovery Rocks, An Evening of Music and Celebration to benefit South Shore Peer Recovery. The event, which featured DJ Lynch Band, Border Road and James Montgomery, was held at the Bulman Marina in Scituate and raised more than $200,000. The celebration was supported by South Shore businesses and the Scituate Police Department. All photos by Bill Brett
