SOUTH BOSTON — 500 guests attended the Gavin Foundation’s annual Road to Recovery gala, which was held at the Boston Design Center. Among those in attendance were the Foundation’s “Man of the Year” from 2017 Gov. BOSTON — 300 guests attended The Friends of the Public Garden’s Green and White Ball, which raised $625,000 for the care of the Boston Common, Public Garden and Commonwealth Mall. CAMBRIDGE — Several hundred guests attended the Block Party to benefit Next Step, a Boston area organization that helps young people with chronic or life-threatening diseases.
