SOUTH BOSTON — More than 200 guests attended the Matt Brown Foundation fundraiser, which was held at the Castle Island Brewery in South Boston. Matt started the foundation after he suffered a spinal cord injury when he was 15 years old while playing in a hockey game for Norwood against Weymouth. Matt later attended Stonehill College. QUINCY — More than 125 guests attended a fundraiser for Kelly Morrissey’s 2023 Boston Marathon run for ALS One to fund research into ALS and care for those affected by the disease. FENWAY — 160 guests attended the Boston Arts Academy Foundation reception at the House of Blues. The event was hosted by Foundation President Denella Clark and the honored guests were 2023 Champions: Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and former mayor Kim Janey.
