DORECHESTER — 150 golfers attended the tournament to support the 11 fund, named after late Boston Bruins player Jimmy Hayes of Dorchester. The golfers playes at the George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park and held lunch and auction at the John P. McKeon Amvets Post 146. FENWAY — More than 1,700 guests attended the 2021 Corey C. Griffin Foundation’s Corey Fest, which raised more than $1.6 million that will go to Boston Children’s Hospital’s Corey C. DORCHESTER — Hundreds of well-wishers and mourners lined the streets of Dorchester near St. Ann’s church in Neponset for a touching farewell to Jimmy Hayes, a local native and former pro hockey player who died unexpectedly recently. He was 31.
