DORCHESTER — This year’s “Save the Beach” Friends of Savin Hill Shores Dorchester Beach Day at Malibu Beach was held on Saturday, Aug. 25. The Boston Circus Guild provided activities and entertainment at the free Life’s A Beach Festivals, featuring trapeze artists, acrobats and jugglers, as well Save the Harbors troupe of costumed storytellers. It has been many years from planning to construction. You can read more about it here. DORCHESTER — Word is that the Archdiocese will announce on Saturday new assignments for area priests. First bit of news is that Father John Ronaghan will return to Dorchester to serve as pastor of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, which includes St. Margaret’s Church, which Father Ronaghan attended growing up. DORCHESTER — WORK Inc. celebrated the successes of its staff members and consumers and to celebrate diversity with a gala celebration on June 14, at the IBEW Local 103 in Dorchester. Festivities for the evening included a silent auction with a lot of really cool stuff, with all proceeds used to enhance WORK Inc.’s programs offered to its consumers; a gigantic clambake, and an awards ceremony hosted by Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley.
