DORCHESTER — Veteran Boston journalist and radio host Dan Rea and his wife, Jeanne, made a “substantional gift” to the University of Massachusetts Boston to renovate and endow the weight room in the school’s Clark Athletic Center, UMass announced. CANTON — More than 750 young dancers performed in the 10th annual New England autumn feis, which was held last weekend at the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton. DORCHESTER — Hundreds of well-wishers and mourners lined the streets of Dorchester near St. Ann’s church in Neponset for a touching farewell to Jimmy Hayes, a local native and former pro hockey player who died unexpectedly recently. He was 31.
