HINGHAM — 300 guests attended the South Shore Conservatory‘s “Chase the Winter Blues Away” gala, which was held recently at the Boston Marriott Quincy. The event raised a record-breaking $325,000 to support the school’s music programs. All photos are by Bill Brett.
BACK BAY — The 30th annual Ebony Gala was held at the Hynes Auditorium in Boston’s Back Bay. The swanky event is organized by a number of area service organizations including Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, National Black MBA Association — Boston chapter, and the National Society of Black Engineers. KINGSTON — More than 300 guests attended the third annual ALS One Snow Ball, which raised $100,000. The event was held on Dec. 8 at Jones River Trading. The auction was emceed by Jim Fagan. All photos by Bill Brett.
COPLEY SQUARE — More than 300 guests attended 71st annual Mistletoe Ball, which was held on Nov. 25, 2017 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel in Boston. This festive annual tradition was started by a group of Boston area women in 1946 on the heels of World War II and during the Greek civil war. All photos are by Bill Brett.
BACK BAY — Hundreds braved the first snowfall of the season for the annual Santa Speedo Run, which raises money for Play Ball! Boston. The SSRun takes the runners, many in Speedos or other bathing suits, on a loop up Boylston Street and down Newbury Street back to the Lir restaurant in the Back Bay. The runners raised more than $76,000 as of the publishing time of this post. All photos are by Bill Brett.
