BRIGHTON — When Eric T. Donovan was sworn in on Aug. 17 as clerk magistrate of Brighton Division of Boston Municipal Court, he had a few familiar faces there to cheer him on — his classmates from Westfield State College. Joining Donovan were Jack Doherty, Boston Police Department Superintendent in Chief Greg Long, Matt Savage, Ray Salmon, and Dave Gera.
