BOSTON — Skål International Boston, an international association of travel and tourism professionals, held its past presidents luncheon today, April 18, 2019, at the Revere Hotel Boston. Terrilyn Haak, of the Mastro’s Ocean Club Boston and Skål’s current president, served as the event’s emcee. The luncheon brought together leaders of most of Boston’s hotels and major tourist draws. SEAPORT — 150 guests attended Cops for Kids with Caner’s post-Boston Marathon party and reception to celebrate the runners who took on the 26.2-mile course at a celebration hosted by the No Name Restaurant and the organization’s chairman Bill Coulter, a detective lieutenant with the Massachusetts State Police. RANDOLPH — 450 guests turned out for the Fashion for Compassion event to benefit Maria Droste Counseling Services, a 26-year-old non-profit, community-based mental health counseling and holistic therapy agency located in Quincy. The event, which was emceed by Jim Fagan, was held on Thursday, April 11 at Lantana in Randolph and raised $80,000 for the organization. All photos by Bill Brett
COPLEY SQUARE — 730 guests attended the annual Whittier Street Health Center’s toast which honored Jim Judge, who is chairman, president and CEO of Eversource Energy. The gala was held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel and raised more than $925,000. Whittier cares for 30,000 patients annually, 35 percent of whom have no insurance.
