Donovan was sworn in on Aug. 17 as clerk magistrate of Brighton Division of Boston Municipal Court, he had a few familiar faces there to cheer him on — his classmates from Westfield State College. SEAPORT — More than 900 guests attended the annual Beach Ball, which raised $8.7 million to support Camp Harbor View. The gala was held on June 2 at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal in South Boston. Randolph — The Randolph High School gymnasium was dedicated in the memory Dennis “DJ” Simmonds, a Boston Police Department patrolman who suffered a serious concussive head injury caused by a homemade bomb while pursuing the Boston Marathon bombers in Watertown in 2013.
