SOUTH BOSTON — More than 500 guests attended The Mary Binda Memorial Cruise held on July 6, 2017 to support summer programming for more than 300 young people at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s Edgerley Family South Boston Club. My friend William F. Smith, III, who died suddenly on July 9, 2017 while he was in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Billy, as he was called, was a member of the Boston Police Department’s Firearms Unit.
