BACK BAY — Boston College president Father William Leahy was honored at the Catholic Extension’s inaugural award dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on March 20, 2018. BACK BAY — The Spaulding Hospital Professionals Council (which many knew by its former name the Young Professionals Group) hosted some 250 people at a recent fundraiser held at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston hotel. BACK BAY — Thursday’s snowstorm and the stretch of extremely cold temperatures have meant that a number of social events have been postponed, but that didn’t stop Bill Brett from filing some shots. Bill hit the streets on Saturday in the Back Bay, particularly Newbury and Boylston streets near Copley Square and the Prudential Center. BACK BAY — Hundreds braved the first snowfall of the season for the annual Santa Speedo Run, which raises money for Play Ball! Boston. The SSRun takes the runners, many in Speedos or other bathing suits, on a loop up Boylston Street and down Newbury Street back to the Lir restaurant in the Back Bay. The runners raised more than $76,000 as of the publishing time of this post. All photos are by Bill Brett.
