DORCHESTER — A festive and celebratory gathering took place Saturday, November 26, to officially recognize the Irish Pastoral Centre’s new location at 540 Gallivan Blvd in Adams Village in Dorchester. Special guest Martin J. Walsh, US Secretary of Labor and former mayor of Boston, offered a few remarks to mark the occasion. Charlie Marie gives an impromptu concert at Greenhills Bakery

DORCHESTER — En route to a radio show interview at Country 102.5 FM on Morrissey Boulevard, singer Charlie Marie stopped by the Greenhills Bakery in Adams Village. The singer, who was traveling up from a concert in Providence, R.I., performed with guitarist Brian McKinnon. Marie and McKinnon call Nashville home, but are currently out on tour. Blasi’s Cafe promises to re-open soon

DORCHESTER — I posted an update on my Facebook page about the promised re-opening of Blasi’s Cafe in Adams Village. The owners posted a video that showed work being done by crews in the basement where a fire prompted the businesses to close. I’m looking forward to their return. — Bill Photo by Bill Brett
