QUINCY — Hundreds turned out on May 3, 2023, to celebrate the 100th birthday of Frank Bellotti, the former Massachusetts Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor, at a gathering at the Quincy courthouse that bears his name. SOUTH BOSTON — 300 people signed up for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation’s Run/Walk, which was held at DCR Castle Island. Many brain aneurysm survivors participated to support the Foundation’s work and were joined by family members and those walking and running in memory of someone lost to this disease which affects 1 in every 50 people in the US. SOUTH BOSTON — More than 200 guests attended the Catholic Charities Laboure Center’s 39th annual Spring reception, which was held at the Fish Exchange Building on the Fish Pier, South Boston. SEAPORT — More than 150 guests attended the Eire Society of Boston’s 86th anniversary Gold Medal Dinner at which the Society honored Boston Globe columnist Kevin Cullen. Cullen is the former Dublin bureau chief covering Northern Ireland, for more than 25 years, and was the only full-time reporter for an American newspaper based in Ireland during the peace process that culminated the Good Friday Agreement. QUINCY — More than 400 guests attended the Adam Presidential Center’s kickoff fundraising dinner that honored former Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and his wife, Lauren, for their distinguished service to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
