Brian Purcell, retired Boston Firefighter, dies in Florida
FLORIDA — My friend Brian Purcell, who retired from the Boston Fire Department about 10 years ago, died recently in Florida. A decorated member of the BFD, Brian spent most of his career with Engine 42 in Roxbury. He later was an aide to the District 3 chief. Arrangements are being made by John J. Tom “Red” Martin remembered
I just wanted to take a moment to remember Tom “Red” Martin, who could claim multiple titles including philanthropist and friend to many. A Wake for Billy Smith
My friend William F. Smith, III, who died suddenly on July 9, 2017 while he was in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Billy, as he was called, was a member of the Boston Police Department’s Firearms Unit.
