BACK BAY — The Spaulding Hospital Professionals Council (which many knew by its former name the Young Professionals Group) hosted some 250 people at a recent fundraiser held at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston hotel. DORCHESTER — Steve MacDonald may have thought he was showing up at Florian Hall for a TV interview, but the Boston Fire Department spokesman was actually surprised by Commissioner Joe Finn and about a 100 friends gathered to wish MacDonald well on his retirement from the department.
